Relax and unwind from the stresses of modern living at Ty Mawr

“A great getaway with friends!” Cottage was absolutely beautiful with beautiful views. Highly recommend staying here. - Mr Potten, October 2020 “A wonderful week away in a beautiful location.” The cottage is well equipped, spacious and nicely decorated. Within walking distance of the local village, which has a shop and pub. A little further along you can find the Bala Lake Railway. Weather was perfect for September, which meant many an evening spent in the hot tub, enjoying the peaceful surroundings, and the sheep paying us a visit to the fence! Kitchen has everything you needed to cook for a large group, we even did Sunday dinner from scratch! Heating wasn’t on when we stayed, but house soon warmed up with log burner, and we found we didn’t need the heating. Hot water plentiful and shower pressure was great. Being very rural it was great for stargazers. Plenty of activities nearby. We caught the train up Snowdon, walked to the summit and back down. White water rafting just down the road was exhilarating, as was the GYG Karting, again not too far away. For a first time visit to Wales we said we would definitely visit again. Only thing that was missing was an iron at the cottage which would have been handy, although we managed without. Thank you for providing a lovely place to stay. - Mr Miller, September 2020 The Location, the accommodation, the hot tub, the wood burner, the stream down the road, the beautiful sunrises at 06.00, loads to do in the local area. There was nothing to fault. We would return as there is still so much to do. - Mrs Knighton, August 2020 “Perfect socially isolated holiday location .” We had a very enjoyable week. - Mr Clarke, July 2020 “We have stayed at the same property twice in 2019.” We like its location & in-house facilities making it the ideal property holiday for 8 of us. We will be planning more stays at Ty Mawr in 2020. - Mr Wood, December 2019 “Lovely extremely comfortable cottage.” Hot tub was a welcome addition. - Mrs Preston, July 2019 “Ty Mawr Cottage exceeded our expectations.” We were 2 family's that went away for the Christmas week together. The house and grounds have so much space you can not feel ontop of eachother. From sitting by the fire in the evening to using the hot tub and going for lovely country walks this place is the ultimate cottage for a family/friends gathering. Thank you for making our Christmas a special one. One that our 4 little ones will hopefully remember forever. - Mrs Osborne, December 2018 “Ty Mawr is lovely, a perfectly placed house for a holiday in Snowdonia, clean, welcoming and well equipped.” - Mr Curtis, September 2018 “We particularly enjoyed the hot tub and the very generous supply of good logs for the lounge stove.” The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had an excellent set of saucepans. It was good having two sitting rooms. - Mr Lambourne, March 2018 “We Only stayed 3 nights but loved the jacuzzi.” Couldn't have been a better place to stay regards scenery and comfort. The cottage was clean and warm and well equipped for us and our 2 yr old granddaughter - Ms Pearce, March 2018 “A great place for an extended family holiday, lots of space for everybody and hot tub a real bonus.” - Mrs Slack, February 2018
